A
Power Such as the World has ever seen

by Kathe Schaaf
I cannot lay my dreams at anyone else's feet,
Not at my mother's feet,
Not at my husband's feet,
Not at my sister's feet,
Not at my child's precious feet,
Not at the feet of my greatest wounding fear.I must pick up my own dreams and walk.
It only feels like a paradox:
I have to do it by myself
And I cannot do it alone.I have to learn to trust deeply
And fearlessly
In my own value,
In my own sacred impulse.Every moment,
Every day,
Everywhere.
